- Gear components are manufactured from medium carbon steel and forged alloy steel, with heat-treated gear tooth surfaces. The hub gear teeth are fully crowned to ensure maximum torque transfer with minimal backlash.
 
- The one-piece molded lip seal is designed to operate under misalignment conditions, providing the most effective sealing performance: retaining lubricant inside and preventing the ingress of dust and contaminants from the outside.
 
- All shafts are designed so that the contact point of the thrust button lies precisely on the centerline of the gear mesh. This allows for ball-and-socket-type motion, rather than sliding motion that would occur if the contact point were located on the thrust plate.
