Amerigear Couplings
Application: Designed to meet the requirements of vertical shaft applications, with shaft diameters up to 10.25 inches. Capable of compensating for all three types of misalignment (angular, parallel, and axial). Description: The Amerigear FV Series flexible coupling is designed with a bolted center flange to facilitate installation and alignment. The floating sleeve assembly is supported by a support plate and a thrust button inserted between the two coupling sleeves. The optimal spacing between the meshing gears allows for relatively high parallel misalignment capacity. The flanged sleeve design minimizes the distance between bearing housings, supporting easier shaft alignment.
Amerigear Couplings
Application: Used in applications where peak torque or high shock loads exceed the normal maximum starting torque. Coupling halves are mounted on one or both sides of a shear pin assembly to compensate for all types of angular misalignment and axial displacement. The shear pins are designed to fail at a predetermined value to protect the connected equipment from damage. Description: The Amerigear FPH and FSPH Series shear pin couplings feature a shear assembly bolted between the flanges. The shear assembly consists of two fully machined plates, two lubricated and sealed angular contact thrust bearings, a retaining ring, retaining bolt and pin, shear pins, and setscrews.
Amerigear Couplings
Application: Designed to meet the demands of harsh operating conditions and accommodate large shaft sizes up to 46 inches in diameter. Capable of compensating for all three types of misalignment (angular, parallel, and axial). Description: Shares the same basic design features as Series F (sizes 200 to 207), but offers a misalignment capacity of ± 3/4°. Major components are fully machined from medium carbon steel.
