The Amerigear SF flexible shaft is similar to the parallel shaft configuration using flanged couplings (F Series), but the gear teeth are designed to accommodate greater misalignment. The teeth are heat-treated to enhance torque capacity, and a specially molded large-angle lip seal is used to ensure sealing performance under high misalignment conditions. Additionally, the SF Series offers a short-coupled version to suit space-constrained installations.
