1960s King Headboard, Model 740WP by Florence Knoll for Knoll in Walnut and LaminateThis is a Model 740 WP King sized headboard, designed by Florence Knoll for Knoll Associates in 1956. This particular example dates to the 1960s. The piece has a frame of walnut and has a white laminate insert. It retains its Knoll bow tie label on reverse. This headboard measures 2 inches thick, 81 inches wide, and is 28. 5 inches high. The walnut frame has some very light scratches, and the white laminate looks clean with a few small scuffs.
