Lungo la Dora Plein Air Oils PaintingHere is another of my plein air paintings with oils, that I did this Christmas season in Morgex working on an extremely cold afternoon, before my fingers froze. I have to run to the Artari coffee in the middle of my practice to get a cappuccino and try to regain my body heat, in order to finish the painting and being able to close my pochade! Again I go over the subject of the wonderful mountains you see from Morgex, but standing on the glass bridge

The original painting was done with soft pastels

and it represents a cheeky black-head sheep posing in front of the Matterhorn in Zermatt at the Gornergrat

this cheerful cushion is great to bring the mountains home
